Practical and low maintenance rear garden for young family within private residential complex.
The rear garden of this terraced property had been neglected and become overgrown. The new owners requested a simple low maintenance proposal that enabled the family an outdoor space to relax, play and entertain family and friends. The rear garden occupied a space of 5 x 11m and the scheme consisted of a 4m deep Indian sandstone terrace laid randomly coursed to allow sufficient space for a table, chairs and standing room. 560 x 560mm Indian sandstone square pavers continued along left boundary border from terrace to provide easy access to rear garden gate, which with the 25 x 150mm timber edge border retained the grass lawn. The planting scheme consisted mainly of evergreen varieties to reduce maintenance and deliver all coverage year interest. Please click on space bar below to view presentation sheets.
